Italia Cuoi's Suave leather, also known as corrected grain, is a liveable FULL top GRAIN aniline drum-dyed leather with a pigmented surface.  The hides are dyed-through on combatible crust, which enhances the colour matching as well as the unsurpassed ease of cleaning and long wearing life.  Consistent grain, high yield hides and a soft hand all combine to make SUAVE outstanding value priced leather.

Leather is an extraordinary example of a product that has enjoyed universal appeal through the ages and it is destined to continue that way.  One of the most important terms in a Tanners vocabulary is FEEL.  Feel defines one of the characteristics which arouses its' sense of beauty.  If a piece doesn't achieve a good hand or feel, it redundantly feels unfortunately synthetic, lacking the fine luxurious touch of quality leather.

Time is also a very important part of leather manufacturing.  It takes an animal it's whole lifetime to create the skin of which leather is made.  A Tanner knows perfectly well that the products are only achieved with care and perfect dedication, which almost always entails time.

Finally craftsmanship is the Tanner's most important asset and chemical ingenuity his primary tool.  The history of tanning started at least 5 thousand years ago.  And even though we still discover new ways of doing things today, the modern Tanner moves in an industry of priceless past experiences.  Steeped in rich traditions, tanning is a process that has grown into one of the world's most respected sciences.

full grain ... Grain leather in which only the hair has been removed. Usually carries either an aniline or glazed finish.

grain leather ... Hides and skins which have been processed with the grain, or outer surface, dressed for end use.

aniline finish ... Full grain leather which has been colored with dyestuffs rather than pigments. Usually topped with a protein, resin, or lacquer protective coating, can also be waxed.

All fabrics offered by Wortley Group are assessed for their environmental impact.  The Environmental Rating System (ERS) takes into account the technical specifics of manufacturing each product, from farming practises and energy consumption, through to mill waste and recycling programs.

The environmental impact of each product is carefully scrutinised.

The consumption of water, land, energy and chemicals, and the production of greenhouse gasses are just a few of the factors assessed.

For instance, just one kilogram of cotton requires between 12,000 + 29,000, as well as the application of numerous pesticides.

Rated from 1 to 5, the higher the rating, the less impact it has on the environment during its' life cycle.
