Shipping, Orders and Terms and Conditions

Purchases from the Make Your House a Home online store are subject to the following shipping policies and terms and conditions.

$15 flat rate* delivery

*Puchase any item/s from the Homewares categories (excluding Garden Decor) and pay only $15 flat rate delivery.  Registered, Australia wide delivery via Australia Post.

Delivery within Bendigo Area

Large Items delivered in Bendigo and surrounding areas (includes Kangaroo Flat, Maiden Gully, Huntly and Strathfieldsaye) - $30 flat fee (one driver) so help with carrying items inside is necessary. If 2 delivery men required - $45 flat fee.

Delivery within Victoria (larger items)

Price on application.

Delivery across Australia

Small items (Under 20kg)

Total order with maximum dimensions 50cmx30cmx40cm and maximum weight 20kg will be delivered Australia wide - $15 flat fee by Australia Post (registered).

Free delivery of gift vouchers Australia wide via registered Australia Post.

Large Items (Over 20kg)*

We welcome you to contact the store via email or Phone 1300 850 535 to discuss the best delivery requirements for you. As is often the way, pricing can vary and we wish to ensure that you have the best price of delivery for your item.

*all prices quoted for large items are for driver only – extra person will be required at delivery address to assist with unloading. If you require Make Your House A Home to supply an extra person to assist with unloading please indicate when you call for a quote.

International Delivery

We do not offer international delivery at this time.

Stairs and difficult deliveries

All prices quoted are for standard deliveries and don’t allow for large items to be carried up stairs, into rural or outback areas or onto boats or otherwise difficult to reach buildings – if you have an unusual or difficult situation please call and we will provide with a quote for your particular situation

Assembly Service

Assembly service available to certain areas at extra cost of $30 per hour if required. Indicate here if this service is required and we will provide you with an estimate based on what you have purchased

Freight Conditions

It is your responsibility as the purchaser to ensure that the items that you have purchased fit inside your building. Please measure your access routes and doorways prior to finalising your purchase, always err on the side of caution and add 15% to all measurements given on our website.

If an item cannot be delivered due to it not fitting in your building you will be billed the restocking fee of 25% of purchase price and freight costs both ways – so please measure your space accurately!!!

Order Processing

Your order will be processed within 24 hours of your payment being cleared

Out Of Stock Items

If your item is out of stock, you will be given the option to withdraw your order completely. If we do not receive correspondence from you within 7 days your order will be automatically sent to you when the item comes into stock.

We will always inform you of the status of the item you have ordered, and the expected date of arrival if it is out of stock.

Order Cancellation

If your order is cancelled as a result of the stock not being available immediately and you don’t wish to wait for it to come into stock we will refund you in full.

If your order is cancelled as a result of you changing your mind a 25% re-stocking fee applies.

Returns

If your item arrives damaged in transit – please call us immediately on 1300 850 535 and we will send you a replacement or offer you a refund. You are not expected to examine the goods while the courier waits, however if you notice that the packaging is damaged or crushed please note it on the couriers paperwork you are asked to sign. If your item is faulty please contact us within 3 days to obtain a return authorisation to return the item for a replacement or refund.

We do not accept returns under the following circumstances:

• You are negligent in caring for your item resulting in damage
• Natural wear and tear caused after delivery
• Change of mind

Colours

Colours of items displayed on your computer monitor may vary from the true natural colour of the fabric. It is possible for you to request a sample swatch prior to ordering; even then there may be minor variations in colour swatches. While all efforts are made to provide you with accurate colour descriptions there may be a variety of reasons why there are colour inconsistencies, for example due to different dye lots.

Restrictions

Make Your House A Home reserves the right to cancel any orders that breach their terms and conditions of use. Make Your House A Home sells children’s items but only to adults. Users under the age of 18 years are permitted to use the Make Your House A Home website but are forbidden to purchase without the consent and presence of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 years. Make Your House A Home reserves the right to cancel orders, cancel or suspend accounts at their sole discretion without prior notice.

Make Your House A Home reserves the right to amend our terms and conditions when necessary. Terms and conditions in force at time of purchase will be applicable to your order.
 

Errors & Omissions Excepted (E&OE)

"Errors and Omissions Excepted" simply means that, while care is taken to make sure that all relevant information is present and correct, there may still be errors on this website. If you find an error or omission, please let us know, and we will correct it as soon as possible.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused, but we cannot always offer you the exact described product at the specified price, if errors and / or omissions are present.

It is advisable to check specifications etc.  before ordering.

SPECIAL  NOTE: To the extent permitted by law, any typographical, clerical or other error or omission in sales literature, quotation, price list, acceptance or offer, invoice or other documents or information issued by Make Your House A Home shall be subject to correction without liability on the part of Make Your House A Home.
